As a fabless IC design company originated from Tsinghua University, TMC was established in 2001 by the 2nd-generation ID card chip R&D team at the Institute of Microelectronics of Tsinghua University. Over the past two decades, TMC has undertaken many major national industrialization projects, including projects on the 2nd-generation ID card chip, Beijing 2008 Olympic Games e-ticket chip and high-capacity and high-security dual-interface banking chip. TMC also won numerous awards, one of many is the First-class National Scientific and Technological Progress Award. At present, TMC has already shipped more than 15 billion chips in total. Our chips and solutions are being widely used in China and abroad in such fields as identification, financial services, telecommunication, Internet of Things, automotive electronics, mobile phones and etc.
