Security and Anti-counterfeiting Technology Selection of China’s Personal E-passport Program
China Anti-counterfeiting Technology Association, the host of ID, Smart card and Ticket Security and Anti-counterfeiting Technology Summit has accomplished security and anti-counterfeiting technology selection solutions of tickets and credentials used in 2008 Beijing Olympics,2010 Shanghai Expo and 2010 Asian games, which was paid great attention to a lot of end-users and provided new concept for security and anti-counterfeiting technology selection of China’s personal e-passport program. Following China’s second generation ID card, China’s e-passport will be used broader and need more security requirement. With the popularity of e-passport all over the world, China’s e-passport program has also been being paid great attention to many suppliers.
To this end, E-passport related topics were focused in 2006 ID, Smart card and Ticket Security and Anti-counterfeiting Technology Summit, in which Infineon, Toppan Printing, German Laser card, Datacard, German ID Solutions and Bayer Material Science, etc presented their technology solutions, also General Director, Yan Ming, of First Research Institute of Ministry of Public Security made a presentation regarding the security issues of China’s e-passport and also exchanged ideas with many suppliers. On basis of the summit and demonstration, China Anti-counterfeiting Technology Association accomplished security and anti-counterfeiting technology selection solutions of China’s Personal E-passport Program.
